TAN Piet Gek, Sr. Engineer/Technical Support (PCA-AOI), will present AOI PCBA Inspection.
The presentation will discuss the benefits of AOI, including providing a much greater degree of repeatability and speed when compared to manual inspection. It is usually located immediately after the PCBA solder process. This helps to provide immediate feedback to the front line whenever there are problems including solder defects, whether the correct components are fitted and also whether their orientation is correct. This improves the output and quality of the product where problems can be rectified and resolved quickly at an earlier stage before too many PCBs are affected.
