The Supervisory Board of LPKF Laser Electronics AG has appointed Dr.-Ing. Christian Bieniek (45) as the fourth member of the Management Board starting from 1 December 2012. In addition to the present members of the Management Board, Dr. Ingo Bretthauer (CEO), Bernd Lange (CTO) and Kai Bentz (CFO), Bieniek as the new COO will be responsible for the management, control and organization of the operating processes and the operating activities of the special mechanical engineering company.
Christian Bieniek has a wealth of experience in logistics, produc-tion technology and operations. The PhD engineer comes from MAN in the capital goods industry, where he gathered a great deal of comprehensive Group experience as Head of Operations.
In the light of the dynamic development of the LPKF Groups business activities, the Supervisory Board had already initiated a project to optimize the Groups internal structures. Enlarging the Management Board to four members is an important milestone in the strategy to organizationally configure LPKF for further growth. Setting up this new executive position is also aimed at further harnessing and advancing the use of synergies across the Group as a whole.
